Synthesizer soundfronts and Soundfront Preferences keep Resetting

So I tried booting up a score that Ive been working on and I used the playback and I found that all my soundfronts have been reset to the default Musescore one, and that my preferences have all been reset.
Ive had to painstakingly go back and add all my soundfronts and preferences, even though I have hit Set as Default many times before.
The software quite literally reset itself without me doing anything except booting it up. It is frustrating to add and change the preferences and select the soundfronts Ive previously added over and over again.
This has happened twice tonight, starting at 12:35 Midnight Central US Time.

If those are Set as Default, then there should be no reason for MuseScore to "forget" them; except if you loose all preferences. Either because MuseScore can't save them (no permissions or crashed) or because you've explicitly performed a "Reset to Defaults".
You can easily test out whether MuseScore remembers any setting at all by changing a different preference and relaunching MuseScore.
As a backup safety, you can also "Save to Score" the synthesizer configuration on top of this. Just remember to then "Load from Score" after opening the score.
