Indicating open strumming for guitar

Hello,

Is there a way to indicate the open strumming for guitar? By open strumming I mean when the strumming hand keeps moving on time without touching the strings.
Please see the image 1 generated on Musescore and the image 2 when I added the open strokes between brackets.
