Correct method to download newest version on Linux
Hi,
I'm still having issues with Musescore since I started using Linux last week.
I downloaded from the Musescore website, but can't seem to get the Musescore to open anywhere but in the Downloads file. It won't go over to the App File.
Maybe this is why the sound is unstable. Even after I go to Preferences to I/O and reinstall to original settings, it still is not changing back.
Could this all be because Musescore doesn't like sitting in the Downloads file?
Thanks,
Sora

I just followed the specific instructions for installing via the terminal. The response I received for each type [Install, --help, man] was Permission denied.
I am using Ubuntu 20
on Acer Swift-SF314-42 AMD Ryzen 7 4700U 2GHz0

Yes, it totally helped to follow all the instructions for downloading the AppImage.
And then I had to restart my computer and then reset default sounds to get the sound on Musescore to work correctly again.
