Seek details of accenting articulations

Could someone tell me what the loudness increase of the soft accent articulation is and if it can be used as a substitute for Marcato? Marcato changes note length as well as accents the note and I'd like to accent notes the same amount but have them with working staccatissimo length. Normally the marcato just makes the note 2/3 of it's duration and not 1/3 which is what staccatissimo does.
