Del button not deleting notes

Hi!
Whenever I try to delete notes using the del button, the notes become dotted instead of being deleted. Only starting happening a few days ago, so I'm not sure if I just accidentally hit some settings? I reset my shortcuts but it didn't change anything.
Not a huge issue, I can just right click instead, just slightly annoying as it's in my muscle memory. I don't think there's really much point in attaching any particular file because it happens across all of them..
