Musescore making clicking noise at the onset of notes, and playing at erratic speeds with audio interface

I'm running musescore 3.6.2 on my m1 MacBook pro running macOS 12.1 running my audio through a Scarlett 2I2. I have been using this setup for months without issue, but yesterday when I opened a file I had been working on, the piano had a clicking noise that happened alongside the attack and played way too slow. I then restarted musescore, and the file played way too quickly, but still with the clicking attack. Next, I restarted my computer, and the issues were still happening. I then went to play it on a different output, and it worked totally fine, but as soon as I switched the output back to the Scarlett, the same issue happened again. I then did a full reset of musescore, but that did not fix the problem. The playback is always set to 100%, and it happens on all scores and instruments. Any insight would be appreciated
