MuseScore 4 nightly will not allow me to open scores stored on detachable drive
OS: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.0.0-2175500007, revision: 8b45a35
I keep my scores on a separate USB SSD. The nightly release will not allow me to navigate to the USB drive to open an existing score. The navigation window shows only the drive and partition that I am logged in. In MS 3.6 I could easily navigate to any drive or partition.

As requested in the alpha announcement, please report bugs on Github and not (yet) in the normal user forums.
In the meantime, check whether the Qt file dialog is used or your native one.

Have you tried moving MuseScore 4 to the USB SSD detachable drive?

That defeats the reason for using a separate portable data partition. I use multiple OS on several different computers in different locations, often without network connectivity.

It is not the native file dialog. The native file dialogue works as it should and sees all drives and partitions.
This problem persists with version 4.0.0 on a fresh Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon. I can open scores from the file explorer just fine, but the native MuseScore open and save-as dialogues will hide /mnt and /media from me.

Hi, i'm on Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon too, but usb-sticks for examples are displayed for me in the open dialog.

Not me unfortionately. /media won't even appear. Could it be a rights issue with flatpack? I have read & write access to /media from the user account I'm logged into.

Same problem on Mint Cinnamon 21 Vanessa.
Please like with musescore v3.6 bring back the option to open a file on a secondary Internal disk, e.g.:
/media/systemname/D/music/other/midi_files
who 'D' is the name of the internal data storage disk (ntfs formatted).
Drag and drop doesn't work either.
