For strings, normal is "arco".

"To return to a normal strings sound later in the piece, follow the same guidelines as above except type "arco" in step 3 and select arco in step 6."
EDIT: Better to just apply the corresponding text (pizz., tremolo, arco, mute, open, etc) from the Text Palette.
