Trying to add measures
when I add (append) multiple measures to the end of my score
it produces 1 (0ne) measure with a solid black bar through it and with
a number above matching the number of measures I requested.
How to add multiple measures ?

The measures are there, they are just being combined into a multimeasure rest. Press M to disable them.
