switching staves up or down
I'm arranging a duet (same instrument, same range, a fair bit of voice crossover). At the end of the arrangement, I've decided I really want what's scored on the upper staff to be on the lower staff because it is more often the lower part, so it will read more intuitively. However, I haven't been able to find a way to switch the staves with each other. Is this possible? I could always re-score it (it's still faster than scoring by hand!) but I'd rather not have to.

Press "i". This will bring you to the instruments menu. There you can raise or lower any stave.

exactly what i was looking for, thanks a lot
Also look at Cross Staff - this is a common technique for displaying notes on one staff on the other in piano and other keyboard music.
