How to add written directions in the score?
If I want to say how many times to repeat a section, how do I do this? I can't find any way to add these types of directions.

A system text would do.
If you want it right-aligned over the measure, consider using a system line instead. Use the inspector to set the "end text" for it, disable the default "start text" and turn of the visibility for the line.
