Volta not behaving properly
I'm not very knowledgeable about repeats and jumps so it's probably my fault.
In the first score, I can't see how to get measure 13 to repeat twice and carry on to 14 etc. The second time through it skips from measure 11 to 19. I want it to go from 11 to 13 to 14, etc.
The second score, where I have the two voltas separate, does work properly.
I read the manual and I've tried different formats: 2.3. --- 2.,3. --- 2,3 --- 2-3 None work.
Would someone tell me what I'm missing?
Thanks?

Looks like you only changed the text for the volta, scroll further down in the inspector to reach the actual Repeat List property for it, which is what MuseScore uses to interpret the playback format. For the repeatlist you can use a comma-separated listing "
2, 3
".In reply to Looks like you only changed… by jeetee
That fixed it.
You're correct that I was just changing the text -- I thought Musescore took its instruction from that alone.
Thank you very much!

As soon as I fixed that one, I discovered another volta not working as I expected.
In the song below, "Are You Lonesome Tonight", the first volta plays both the first time through AND the second time through. I want to skip volta 1 the second time through. The Inspector repeatlist says "1" so shouldn't it only play the first time?
I don't know why I struggle so much with voltas. The principle seems easy enough but the practice befuddles me.
Thanks again.

Your volta was placed onto measure 35, then the line was dragged without the anchors.
See:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/lines#change-length
Easiest fix is to delete the volta, then select the 7 measures and click on the volta from the palette. It will then correctly span the 7 measures, endpoints included.

Thank you!
That was it. You're right about how I dragged the line -- I didn't realize the anchors could be separate from the actual line.
I sure appreciate this community.
