MS4 doesn't save and other bugs

When I open the app, I cannot click on anything without it making this (https://youtu.be/hlItRS5s1JY?t=23) sound. Only when I press the esc key can I use it like normal. There's no problem at all until I try to save (a score I made in MS3). Nothing happens except that it goes back to making that sound whenever I click on the window.

Other actions that make the program go into this state include clicking 'Parts', 'Preferences' and trying to close the program. Since there is no way to save, after closing it with task manager, all progress is lost.

What may be happening?
