repeated notes in separate staves aren't replayed
put a whole note C in the treble clef of a piano staff, and the same C as four quarter notes in the bass clef, and you'll only hear one continuous note.

this can be resolved by putting the whole note in voice 2, but it'd be nice to keep them in the same voice.
