Individual note playback cannot be disabled in Musescore 4

• Dec 18, 2022 - 03:32

Hello!

I migrated a piece from Musescore 3 to Musescore 4 by hand.
Very happy with all the improvements.
However, I noticed one thing I was able to do in Musescore 3 that I cannot in 4.
I like to use the X notehead to denote dead notes and notes not played.

In Musescore 3, I achieve this by changing the notehead within the chord,
opening the inspector, and unchecking play. This does not affect the notes in the other chord.

However in Musescore 4, it appears that playback for the entire chord is linked.
If I uncheck one note in the unchord, it becomes unchecked for the others, etc.

Happy to figure out some other workaround, but just tracking this change in functionality!
