Musescore 4 install location
Is it possible to install Musescore 4 on a drive other than C:? I have limited space on C: and would like to put it on another drive - just like I have MS 3.

I agree. It would be a nice enhancement.
I also agree. I have other internal drives that I use for programs but do not see an option to change the install location
I don't know about a regular install but I run the AppImage in ubuntu and it works on any of my drives. Even with a regular install, though, the program and associated files take up less than 200Mb and the main thing that takes up space on my system is scores, PDFs and images so I have them stored on my 4TB drive and a link from my main SSD to there.

The "standard" I am use to is giving an option to specify the install location. I ended up uninstalling a few less used apps (like visual studio) and reinstalling them to the D drive. It would be a nice refinement to have that same option, as I believe this app takes up quite a bit of space.

MS4 occupies 274 MB on my SSD C drive. Not huge, but when many programs insist on installing only to the C drive, space become a real issue. The website installer Ninite that I used to use frequently to install many utility programs automatically when setting up a new computer, insists on installing everything to the C drive. Now I am forced to manually install each program individually to my preferred drive. In my opinion, installing programs to small SSD C drives is a waste of resources. I have multiple terabytes of inexpensive space on internal AND external drives other than my SSD.
FWIW, on the MS download page, there appear to be 2 Windows options; Muse_Hub.exe and musescore.msi...
Have you tried the .msi installer/executable? I wonder if that would give more installation location control, over the .exe installer. https://musescore.org/en/download

Problem Solved! Yes, the .msi install DOES give you the opportunity to select the location. Thank you!
