Playback adding unwanted bagpipe embellishments and bad glitches

• Dec 22, 2022 - 13:30

To be honest, I’m sorry I installed this new version before the bugs were worked out. I am creating some scores for a Christmas service this Sunday, and I thought I could crank them out pretty easily. Not so. All I want is a simple playback with a straight tone and no reverb, like I had in muse score 3. How do I get that? This version selects sound based on the instruments I chose and the playback for them is terrible. Worse, it somehow is adding bagpipe embellishments on various notes which makes the sound glitch.

I just want a simple sound playback so that I can hear if my arrangements sound correct. Please tell me how to get back to that!

I’ll try that. Thanks. They are really touting the wonderful sound system in this version, but do many users want full orchestral sounds? Maybe they do, but I just use the program to make little arrangements and transpose short tunes for various instruments. I am by no means a power user and really just want an easy to hear playback so that I can be sure I haven’t done anything weird in the chord structure.

What would REALLY be great would be an optical music recognition ability so I could scan in a piece, Muse records the notation and I can push "transpose." That would be something!

Also, don’t you think it’s odd that the button at the bottom of this page says save rather than submit? I wasn’t initially sure if I was actually sending my post.
