Launching MuseScore 4.0 quits during VST Plugins authentication process in validating the VST plugins.

MuseScore 4.0.0
MacOS Big Sur 11.7.2

When I click to launch MuseScore 4.0.0 it automatically opens up my iLOK licensing manager program to Activate the first plugin "Inspirata Lite" by Inspired Acoustics , which I didn't purchase, but it still comes up during the review of VST plugins not activated (I have several plugins like that that I didn't purchase but they keeps coming up during the launching of certain programs) , and when I hit the Quit button on the iLOK enable button, it also prevents MuseScore 4.0.0 to continue launching the program. I can't get pass this. It happens each time I try to launch MS 4. On other programs, I can click on the Quit button, and even though it will try to activate other plugins not purchased but are in a cache somewhere, and I hit the quit button instead of the Activate button, it continues to launch that particular program, but MuseScore 4.0.0 quits altogether.

I think I can maybe delete these VST's somewhere and that should prevent from this from happening, but it seems buggy that it prevents launching MS 4 altogether when other programs seems to bypass this process and still launch.

I've just had the same problem. Installed Musescore 4 for the first time and could not open it because of this ilok scan.

It would ask me to activate the licenses for things that I didn't even know I had and had never used in the first place. There is no option to open Musescore without these plugins (or components or whatever they are?) and then Musescore quits from launching if you are unable to activate these licenses.

I couldn't find a solution to this anywhere in the Musescore forums or manuals.

Eventually I found the folder where this scan takes place. On a Mac the location is "Users >> NameOfUser >> Library >> Audio

The Audio folder should contain the following folders: MIDI configurations, MIDI drivers, Plug-Ins, Presets and Sounds. From here you can search for each plugin that the ilok scan is looking for. In may case they were all Solid State Logic Native items, none of which were showing up in my ilok account by the way. I deleted them all and now MuseScore launches fine.

I think it's pretty shoddy that there is no option to launch Musescore without these 3rd party plugins. If you don't know what the plugins are or where to find them then you could be left clueless as to why this problem is happening. Especially since the program automatically quits if you are unable to activate a license.
