Non-Specific Instrument in MS4
MS4 is amazing, you guys have done fantastic work. However, I like to use MS like a scratchpad, basically staff paper with playback. I can just open a new score and add a piano, sketch the melody in the treble and the voicings in the bass, but the playback gets a bit weird when the melody intersects with the voicing.
It would be great to have an "instrument" called "staff paper" or "no instrument" that had a grand staff but treated each stave of it as a separate instrument for playback. It could default to the piano sound. Kind of like an instrument equivalent to the "no key signature/atonal" feature.
That way I could work better digitally the way I work on paper, sketching first and then orchestrating by adding instruments and copying pieces of the sketch over to them.
Any thoughts? Is this something that could be easily implemented, or would it be unexpectedly complicated to integrate?

I think it's fairly easy to create a template which looks like a grand staff but is actually two separate instruments. That way you can control each of the two staves independently in the Mixer.
See attached example score.

Fair enough, and I'll probably do that. I just thought it would be a good feature to have the preset option to skip orchestration.
