Staff Text in MS4 dropping spaces

Attached is a mini-score created and saved in MS4. Note the staff text with square frame which has some fingering marking using some symbols from the master pallet that have about the right shape for me.

This first picture is how it is supposed to look, with spaces added between the groups of finger holes

After a copy-and-paste of the staff text or a save and load of the file, this is what I get

All of the spaces have been removed. This does not happen if the text contains only alpha letters. I also did not happen in MS3.

What are spaces that I added not being preserved. Can this be added as a bug, please?
