Issues with turns

• Jan 16, 2023 - 22:20

Hello I've just started using MuseScore and I thought I'd bring up some issues I've found with turns. There seems to be no way to create a turn after a note. There have been other posts about workarounds but it is a terribly complicated process and sort of detracts from the joy of writing.

Issue no. 1)
I would like to suggest that this issue be fixed in a future update. It would be great if there were multiple icons in the ornament list such as "Turn over a note", "Inverted urn over a note", "Turn after a note", and "Inverted turn after a note".

Issue no. 2)
If you were to slow down the turn such as in the Adagio tempo, you would notice that the speed remains the same. It would sound more realistic if each of the four notes were to basically be turned into quarter notes that were synced to the tempo. That way if the turn(s) were in a bar that had a rallentando, or any type of tempo changes, it would follow the rhythm precisely.

An example of this issue was posted at least 2 times in the past. Here is the first example:

Issue no. 3)
I have not found any way to put accidentals with the turns yet. If any of these problems have been resolved please forgive me but I have spent a day trying to work out these issues.
