Is there a way to reverse selecting the bar of a part just playing that individual part?

I've noticed it in the update to MS4, and while I can see how it's useful in some scenarios, it's causing me a lot of grief right now. I really don't like how my workflow's progressing with this. I just want to be able to press a time marker on one part and have the whole ensemble play, or at least some option to.
