How to make notes in different voices overlap?

How do you make the same note, that exists in different voices, overlap?

I'm trying to re-transcribe an arrangement so I can transpose it a step up. The original looks like my first attachment.

However, when I enter the same bass note in different voices, instead of displaying them in the same column, like a unison, it shows the note in the second voice offset, as shown in my second attachment.

How do I fix this?

BTW, you can "automate" the selection process:

• Right-click a note on the downbeat in voice 1
• From the contextual menu: Select>More, then check Same beat same voice
• Press v

Result: All down beat notes are selected in Voice 1 and hidden ... so you'd be half done.

• Then Right-click a the next pertinent note (in your case select a note on "and after 2" in voice 1)
• Again, from the contextual menu: Select>More, then check Same beat same voice
• Press v

Result: All the notes on "2 and" are selected in Voice 1 and hidden.
