Which version of MS - 3 or 4? Once you try, what are you 'getting'? Can you attach your score for others to research? Specify measure where the problem manifests, BTW...

I'm using MuseScore 4. The problem seems to be limited to the Muse Sound trombone. A portamento using the MuseScore soundfont delivers a portamento in the expected way.
I'd attach a score, but the piece I was writing has changed in it's conception (as often happens in the creative process) and no longer uses a trombone portamento...
