Drumset panel is highly inconvienent

I am currently writing a tom drum part for a score. Anytime I want to change the "pitch" of the instrument (aka play on a different drum), I have to manually click the specific drum I want in the drumset panel, then write the rhythm in the staff, then select the next drum, then write the rhythm, etc etc. Because the part I am writing changes between drums quickly, it would be much easier for me to put the notes directly in the staff like how you can when notating any pitched instrument. However, because the toms are listed as an unpitched instrument in Musescore, this doesn't seem to be possible. Is there any way I can remediate this?

(btw, I have tried using the roto-toms instead since they are a pitched instrument, but they don't sound good in the piece)

Assign a letter to each percussion element so writing will be very easy and fast: just press the letter and the note relating to the specific percussion will be written. See attachment.
