It might help if you attached "this".
Multimeasure rests are automatically broken at "musically significant" points, e.g. key changes, time signatures changes, rehearsal marks, double bars, etc. If you need to break the multimeasure rest elsewhere toggle multimeasure rests off with keyboard shortcut M and right click in the measure where you want the break to occur and in measure properties tick the break multimeasure rest option.
