Shortcut for adding dynamics? (MS4)

Hello,

I'd like a faster way to insert dynamics, and I went to the MS4 handbook which told me that the shortcut ought to be Cmd + Shift + P/F/etc. (for piano, forte, etc.) --- this did not work for me. I went to File > Preferences > Shortcuts and there does not appear to be a shortcut available to define or edit. Help?
