Using "MIDI Guitar 2" for note input

I can't seem to get it to work... I can use my Yamaha Keyboad for note input but I can't get musescore to accept "midi guitar 2" as a midi input device. The help screens for midi guitar 2 mention using the plugin but I can't figure out how to enable the midi guitar 2 plugin in musescore 3 or 4. Can anyone help ? thanks...
