Mensurstrich show repeats and end of staff barline

Hello!
In the tutorial for mensurstrich (https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/early-music-features#mensurstrich) it is recommended to untick "Show barlines" for the lowest stuff. This however creates problems when adding repeats end at the end of staffs because a single barline apperantly can't be shown again after unticking said option. For the end of staffs that is acceptable because you can extend the above barline down but with repeats the two dots won't show.
Basically it's supposed to look like this: ----------- but instaed looks like this:

Is there any way to fix that without having to hide all the barlines from the lowest staff by hand?
