Hairpins
Hi, I would like to be able to move the open part of a crescendo hairpin back without it snapping to the nearest beat. Is this possible? Is there any way to fine-tune the position of that part of a hairpin? If not, can that be added, as it is really weird if it is not possible?

Did not work. That will either snap to the beats or adjust the back part.
At the moment, the endpoints have to be attached to a note or rest.
However, you'll be pleased to hear that making it possible to attach items to any rhythmic positions within a duration is one of our highest-priority changes currently being worked on for MuseScore 4.1.

... and meanwhile we can just continue to use hidden rests in an unused voice to anchor our hairpins where we want:

We can, but it's an absolutely disgusting hack and not something we should have to suffer with.
