Playback fades away and cuts out at random

Dear MuseScore,

When I playback any score in MS 4, certain passages of notes will stop sounding for no apparent reason. Once playback passes over the problem area of notes, the playback sound resumes. Sometimes these problem areas are only a measure or two, and sometimes they are entire lines of music. I have tried restarting the program, changing the audio configuration, using different soundfonts, etc. The only solution seems to be to cut the problem notes out and rewrite them manually. If I simply paste them back in, the same issue results. Could anyone help?
