i cant move my tempo

• May 12, 2023 - 20:42

I am trying to have a tempo of 145 on my composition, but whenever I play the piece it begins at a tempo of 120, and then once it reaches bar 3 it changes to a tempo of 145.
I have found that if I drag the tempo indicator that it shows a connecting dot going to the beginning of bar 3 and I cant change it so that it starts with 145 and stay that way throughout the whole piece

Click on the tempo marking to select it Then Ctrl+X to cut it. Select the first note or rest in the score and CTRL+V to paste it into the correct position. You may need to do a CTRL+ R after that to reset the position.

The connecting line you see is indicating where the tempo marking takes effect. It can't be moved by dragging the tempo marking which is a good thing as you sometimes need to offset the text to avoid other markings in the score.
