ladder clef
I have a ladder clef that is in a different position than the palette position. Is there a way to move it to the correct position so it will insert the correct scale? If not, is there a workaround? I have to satisfy my renaissance and medieval peers when transcribing this for a HTML.

Wonderful! Thanks, Shochi. When I change the appearance, does it also change the clef of the notes?
Note from my medieval expert: That's a C-clef on the bottom line of the stave: so the first note is the G above middle C.
When I move the ladder clef, do the notes change also, like in tenor or alto clef?

I think you will have to Transpose or, if it is possible to do so, use a Correct clef, made invisible.

Wow! More than I expected. I'll remember it for future projects. And yes, we will wait for better advice. Better to not transcribe it, than to transcribe it wrong. ;)

There already exists a clef to do what you want but it is slightly different in appearance. Your choice is then to accept that clef, make it invisible and add an image of the clef you want or do some creative transposition of the stave and change the position of the clef.

Underquark! As usual, you are amazing! I'll ask the powers that be if I can use this clef for the transcription. They'll use the original in the HTML. I have to prove the MP3 file will be correct.

The higher authorities authorized the use of this C clef. The noteheads aren't available in MuseScore either, but modern noteheads work just fine. Thanks again! :)
