Ties across a time signature change

I have a 4/4 measure that has the final note tied to the start of the 1st note of the next measure that is 3/4.
The note does not tie and is played as a separate note. is this correct or am i doing something wrong?

nb, I've set the instrument to tenor sax
I've also attached the *.mscz file in case it's something I am doing wrong. ( most likely, and apologies if so)
