How to fix a corrupted score +

• Jul 7, 2023 - 15:50

Ugh, so like I have a score that is corrupted, and I personally don't think that it is TOO much of an issue, but what I really need to know, and what might also make it a big deal, is if copying and pasting parts from that score to a new one will also corrupt the new one too??

And If anyone wants to look at it, which I doubt, nothing seems to ever help me and I have to rely on my own handiwork and programming skills to fix things which takes way too long, then here is the score:

And don't ask me about the file name, it's a placeholder title.

Yes, when copying, the corruption is also copied.
Measure 286 is reported as corrupted because it also contains a dotted quarter rest and therefore the measure length is incorrect. Probably measure 287 is also corrupted. Simply deleting 286 will then result in an error of 287.
I know of no other way to fix this than to delete the contents of 286 and 287 and rewrite them.
However, this does not mean that there can be no other way.

As far as I know, it would depend on which parts you are copying. If you include measures that have corruption, then yes, that will carry over. Copying "clean" parts will not. Best practice would be to fix the offending measures first. If you are using version 4.0.2 it should tell you when opening the file where the affected measures are. That ability was not present in the original version 4 release. You might find this information of help. https://musescore.org/en/node/335842
