Inverted Score Quality of Life Issue

• Jul 13, 2023 - 09:48

Hello team, I have been ejoying Musescore 4 and I appreciate the built-in ability to invert the score colors, especially while working late at night.
However I found that when Score Color is inverted, it ignores the paper color chosen and sets the paper to white (then therefore black due to inversion). I know the inverted color feature is meant to help but this extreme black is more difficult for my eyes than a slightly lighter grey that I would love to achieve.

I checked the settings file and while the canvas\foreground\color value is correctly set and maintained regardless of scoreColorInversion value; but when scoreColorInversion=true it ignores the value entirely. I feel quality of life for myself and other users would be much improved if the paper colour was adjustable while inversion is active.

To summarise; can a future update allow changing paper color while the 'Invert Score' setting is enabled? Even if the chosen color selected itself is inverted this would allow me to chose a more comfortable shade of grey to work with.
