Time Signature Change Creates Problem in Measure Layout

Hello,

I'm working on a piece of tablature that switches back and forth between 2/4 and 4/4. However, this creates a problem, in that it only allows 2 measures per line of the song. Do I need to change anything to keep it from stretching these measures so much? It'll be a really long piece of music with just two measures per line.
