How to change instrument in the second part? (with first part left as it is)

• Aug 12, 2023 - 13:15

Like file 1, when I click on the note of the second part and insert the change instrument text, it automatically changes to the first part like the file 2.

You can't have different instruments on one stave and have them playback as different instruments; 1 stave = 1 type of instrument. For example you can't have flute and oboe on the same stave. You can have two flutes or two oboes.

If that is what you need (but I don't recommend it) you should copy one instrument part to its own stave and then hide that stave while disabling playback of that instrument on the "visual" stave.

Oh, I'm sorry for the delay in checking your answer.
I just had this problem when making scores for the percussion section of an orchestral score.

I'm sorry to hear that it's not possible, but the alternative you suggested is attractive enough.
Thank you very much for your help.

Ah! Thank you so much! I didn't know there was an instrument like "Percussion"!
For example, I tried to change the instrument in the second part of the triangle staff when I had to play the triangle and the cymbals at the same time.
Thanks, I think I can solve the problem. I will try it right now! :)
