Deleting lyrics in closed score

I have successfully changed an S A T B score to closed score - all went well apart from the fact that I cannot delete the extra 2 lines of lyrics which remain.
The piece has 2 verses which appear in the main body of the score but they are repeated under the Bass line. I have tried the various fixes but with no success. Any further help would be much appreciated.
