Increasing the widht of a 48/2 rhythm cycle measure
Hello, I'm working on a song from the Turkish instrumental repertoire that uses a 48/2 rhythm cycle. I've encountered an issue with the score layout, as illustrated in the attached picture. I'm trying to extend the width of a measure, but the usual method of going to "Format→Stretch→Increase Layout Stretch" isn't having any effect. I need the measure to expand, ideally so it continues onto a second staff, allowing me to input the remaining notes. Can you assist with this?

Select the note where you want the measure to be broken and in Tools>Measures (or Tools>Bars for UK English localisation) click on Split measure (or bar) before selected note or rest.
Even though the music is metered you may find this part of the handbook useful https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/mensural-notation-and-mensurstrich#…
