Repeat signs in jazz arrangements
Okay so I'm arranging a jazzy version of this one song and there's a section where the piano comps the same string of 4 chords, while the rest of the main section has the melody. However, everytime I put the repeat sign or the play one time or only 2 times it goes onto the top section instead of that individual part I'm composing for. How do I fix this or do individual System texts?

So if you want an abbreviated version for the piano only you'll have to make a separate piano score. After the repetitions you'll have to adjust the measure count to reflect the measure numbering in the main score. https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/measure-numbering#alter-measure-num…
