everything!!
i am new to this and there are a few things that im not understanding the main bit is that i put a semibreve with a tie to a minim and its not holding the notes when i play it. what do i have to do to get it to play the whole 6 beats.

Slurs are to be made with the tool selected in the palette
Ties are to be made during the edition of notes, by selcting the duration of the second note and keying "+" (numeric one)

I tried puttin a tie in there and pedal line and it holds the note but i can only hear the first 3 beats n i need 2 hear ot for 6 have you got any ideas what i do?

This may be an artifact of the soundfont you are using.

Your sound in the soundfont may not sustain that long, so it may fade before you want it to.
What sound are you trying to sustain?

well im tryin to create a backing track for pie jesu for a service that im singing in n at the begin the notes Bb F D Bb are played togather for 6 beats and after four beats i start singing but i cant get those notes to play for 6 beats n i need it 2 n i dont no what im doin i only got this program a few days ago n i dont no what im doin its really startin 2 bug me. ive tried lookin through the handbook but nothing is workin i dont no weather im doin it wrong or what

Try looking at "Soundfont" in the handbook. This may answer your needs.
