Melisma
I've searched in other locations and the melisma problem still isn't fully resolved. I'm using a QWERTY keyboard on Mac and the underscore shortcut fails to leave a melisma in the score sometimes. Occasionally it works fine, occasionally it does absolutely nothing but act as a space bar to move on to the next word. I tried the help suggestions I found (i.e. use Preferences to create a different shortcut) but to no avail.

Just a guess, but is this perhaps a refresh problem? What happens if you enter a melisma and it fails to appear on screen? If you immediately save and close your score, then re-open the score, does the melisma then appear after all?

No, nor did a computer reboot. Turned out the issue was I'd accidentally entered the lyrics in voice 2 and the system couldn't work with that. I copied and pasted all the lyrics into voice 1 and now I'm up and running! Thanks.
