Musescore 4 keeps deleting my progress

I've been using Musescore 4 to write a piece, and all was going well. I make sure to save everything to the cloud multiple times when I'm done, but every time I open the piece back up it doesn't save any of the progress I had made, and instead reverts it to the same state every time. What am I doing wrong here, and how can I get my edits back? I've tried going through the hidden folders in my files, but Musescore doesn't seem to have any backups saved for pretty much anything at all.
