Help Adding Slurs that Extend Across Staves

Hi, I have a simple piano piece (easy version of Jingle Bells) where a number of the phrases start in the LH, move to RH and finish LH. I can't seem to add a slur that will start in the bass staff, loop up over these treble notes and back to the bass. No issue if it starts one clef and ends in another, but if it loops back even if I select that range in both staves it just puts the slur across the one it starts and ends on, in this case bass. I'm assuming to look right it can be dragged up over the treble, but as a blind user who is needing to export it to Braille I need it to actually know that this slur/phrase includes those treble notes. Any suggestions?

It may not cover the exact case you describe, but there is another technique which also needs you to disable the slur's Autoplace property. Then you can reverse the direction of the slur by dragging its anchors around vertically, so that the slur transitions gracefully to a different stave:
