Guitar RH fingering

• Nov 15, 2023 - 22:44

The guitar palette has RH fingering p,i,m,a,c. I prefer p,i,m,a,e so I went to the master palette, searched for guitar and found all the options. Great, but it is a different font. The font used in the guitar palette is more compact and better for my purposes. I searched through ALL the symbols in the master palette and the symbols actually used for the guitar fingering palette do not appear in the master palette. How is that even possible? Am I missing something obvious? I am a new user.

You can place a "c" fingering and change it to an "e". Then you can [Ctrl][Shift]-drag it to your palette.

In case that doesn't work for you, I have attached a modified palette. Hope i have understood you correctly.

Placing, changing it and dragging to the palette worked perfectly. Thank-you!

I am still curious about what is going on here. How is it possible for a symbol in a palette to not be in the master palette? What mechanisms are there for creating such symbols? The documentation says "The Symbols palette is a category within the Master palette and houses all symbols and text from all built-in music fonts." If I select fingering in the master symbols palette and change the font nothing seems to happen (except for the petaluma font).

Thanks again!
