change the formatting of the staff mid song

Not sure how to word this, I hope it makes sense.

I am writing a libretto and I would like to save as much space as possible. I want to change from having one single vocal line to having a full grand staff for choir within the same project. I can only manage to change it to a grand staff for the entire piece. Is this possible?
