API to download large volume of music scores

Hey, I am a researcher and wanted to download a larger MusicXML dataset using Python as it has been done here: https://github.com/EelcovdW/mono-MusicXML-dataset

Is there an API available that one can use to download a large volume of MusicXML files? Is it potentially possible to obtain a MusicXML dataset from some download link?
