MIDI Keyboard input

Hi, I hope someone can help. I have a Carry-On Folding Keyboard, which can be used as MIDI input. It is recognised by the software, selected for both input and output, and made sure MIDI input is enabled in the settings on right corner. However whenever i go to write something in, it is not inputting any notes onto the score. What do I do? Has anyone had this problem before?
For reference I am using a Windows 11 laptop.
