Arpeggio across staves no longer possible

In a solo piano piece with 2 staves, I want to have an arpeggio that goes across both staves. I used to be able to do this, but in the current (latest) update it's no longer possible to get it to connect to all the notes across the staves. Both by selecting all notes and clicking arpeggio, and by placing an arpeggio on one staff first and then trying to extend it with shift+arrowkey.
